The Reunion held March 28, 2009 at 115 Bourbon Street was a huge success, thanks to the hard work, dedication and persistence of the reunion planning committee. A special thanks goes out to Ginny Walsh, Sandy Malzone, Peggy McClory, Kathy Minogue, Margaret Arundel and Jeffrey Zelepugas for making a memorable event for all.

Everyone had a great time and shared some laughs, reminisced a bit and got caught up on what everyone has been up to lately, and over the past years. We enjoyed some beverages and food along with nostalgia in the forms of posters, pictures, school memorabilia and a slideshow, set to music from the 76-77 era.

We partied until they kicked us out in the wee hours of Sunday Morning. Not sure how many Good Catholics made it to mass on Sunday. I guess the confessionals may be crowded in the upcoming weeks. Just kidding.

Special Guests included Mr. Kopera, his lovely bride and Mr. Zelepugas as well as former classmates, members from the class of 1976 and some Rita friends; Anthony Baio, Pat O’Malley, Bridget Durkin, Tom Walsh, Dan Marciano, Bob Hayes, Mike Konrath, Krissy Ryan and Kathy Murphy

What did you miss if you were unable to attend, just to name a few:

  • Reunion Attendees made 500 beers disappear

  • Cheryl Humbert put on a Uni-cycle Demonstration.

  • Arthur Tylak played the accordian

  • Joe Cius led Karoke in the Club Flanigan Lounge

  • All the Irish gals performed a jig for the crowd

  • Mark Gurgone sold three cars

  • Contact information was collected for a run at a 35th reunion in 2012

  • Awesome St. Rita Class of 1977 Retro-spective Slideshow

  • Dozens of laughs, good times and re-connections
